Helping children and young adults who struggle to breathe — non-invasively, with a system of oral appliances and therapy.
our approach
Oral Appliance Therapy
We are working with children and young adults who struggle to breathe with a system of oral appliances and therapy. This is a non-invasive treatment option for sleep disordered breathing, snoring, and mild to moderate sleep apnea.
When children can breathe properly, they can begin to grow, learn, and blossom into their full potential.

your evaluation
Dr. Shebani
Dr. Shebani and Dr. Kim will begin with an initial consultation to determine if you’re a candidate for any of these appliances and provide the best recommendation for your child. They will evaluate their cranial asymmetry, oral habits, tooth and tongue positioning, swallowing patterns, and other concerns to understand the relationship between their cranial bones and mandible. Besides a visual examination, a CT scan, images, and impressions may be needed.

ALF “Advanced Lightwire Functional”
This appliance is used to expand the jaw laterally and anteriorly with a more natural approach to growth and development. It uses light force to progressively shift the maxilla. The ALF is beneficial in many ways — opening nasal and oral airway spaces, promoting proper tongue positioning, and reducing the risk of sleep apnea.

Learn more about Aligners“Unbelievable experience. Not only is the office perfect for children in an amazing environment, Dr. Shebani is very patient and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that they don’t accept adults as patients!”
